The Anti thyroglobulin antibody test is also known as thyroid antibodies or thyroid autoantibodies or thyroperoxidase antibody test. This test helps to diagnose and monitor diseases of the Anti Streptolysin-O (ASO) Quantitative test helps to detect if a person has recently been infected with streptococcal infection.
It also helps to diagnose complications that result from streptococcus infections like rheumatic fever, or kidney disease. The ASO/ASLO (Anti Streptolysin) latex test is done:
• In case of signs and symptoms of rheumatic fever
• In case of signs and symptoms of edema
• In case of signs and symptoms of glomerulonephritis
• In case one has recently been infected with group A streptococcal infection that was not diagnosed and treated properly
