What is Vaccination?

Vaccination is an antigenic substance that provides immunity against one or more diseases. It creates immunity in human body and protects from infection and thus prevents the disease. Portea offers vaccination at home; H1N1, Chicken Pox, Typhoid, Hepatitis B, Pneumonia, Cervical cancer and more vaccines available.

When do you need us?

If you need any of the following or other vaccination, call us to avail it at the comfort of home.

  • Hepatitis B Vaccination: Common symptoms of Hepatitis B are fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, grey-colored stools, dark urine, joint pain, jaundice etc. This vaccine is recommended to anyone living with someone having Hepatitis B, having sex with an infected partner and people with chronic liver disease.
  • Chicken Pox Vaccination: Chicken pox is a contagious disease caused by the initial infection with varicella zoster virus. Skin rash that forms small, itchy blisters, fever, headache are symptoms of this disease. Chicken pox might leave permanent mark in the skin. Fortunately, Chicken pox vaccine can prevent the disease.
  • H1N1 Vaccination: There is no curative treatment for H1N1 disease as of now. Fever, cough, sore throat, red eyes, headache are common symptoms of H1N1. This disease worsens critical health conditions like heart disease and asthma. Fortunately, there is a preventive vaccination for H1N1.
  • Pneumonia Vaccination: Coughs, fever, shortness of breath are common symptoms of Pneumonia. Elderly people and kids are more commonly infected with Pneumonia. Also, people with weak immune system might face this disease. With Pneumonia vaccination, one can prevent the disease.
  • Typhoid Vaccination: Typhoid disease can be transmitted through direct contact with dirty water and is more common in flood affected area. Fever above 104 F, diarrhea, headache are common symptoms of typhoid. With typhoid vaccination, one can stay safe from the disease.
  • Cervical Cancer Vaccination: Cervical cancers are mostly caused by the sexually transmitted infection human papillomavirus (HPV). Cervical cancer vaccine is recommended for women aged between 11 to 35 years. Cervical cancer vaccination is given as a series of three injections over a six-month period.
